Job Description
The scope of services required for the Enterprise Architect includes:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to clearly articulate technical matters to non-technical staff.
    • Prior experience in the design of application architectures, including, but not limited to, two , three and n-tier application architectures.
    • Prior experience with a centralized �managed hosted services� environment.
    • Prior experience in the development and successful utilization of architecture patterns.
    • Prior experience as an enterprise architect and/or experience as a technology architect in a large and diverse organization.
    • Prior experience in an architecture or lead technology role in an organization that provides enterprise or shared services to a cross-section of diverse customers.
    • Ability to work comfortably with individuals of varying levels of technical skills in the context of requirements gathering, analysis, and collaborative design supporting enterprise technology patterns.
    • Possess a high level of expertise in the development of documentation supporting pattern development, with the ability to develop documentation that can be easily consumed by customers as well as the ability to create technical documents for use by technology staff.
    • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
Job Skills
The minimum skills and experience levels required for a candidate to be considered for this position include:

  • Work with agencies seeking Application Services support.
  • Assist agencies with the completion of the Technical Architecture Document, including, when necessary, the development of logical and physical application architecture diagrams.
  • Work with the Enterprise Architect, Directors, Subject Matter Experts, technical staff as well as the appropriate agency business and technical stakeholders to review design requirements.
  • Schedules and conducts collaborative design sessions.
  • When needed, works with agencies to prepare them for a Technology Review Board review of their proposed application architecture.
  • Works with Directors and Subject Matter Experts to design, develop and document common architecture patterns that promote the use of shared hosting services and environments within the state data center.
  • Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Enterprise Architect.
